I am a Ph.D. candidate in Civil and Resource Engineering at Dalhousie University, Canada. I received my Master of Engineering in Energy Technology from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand (1997). I was the recipient of Norwegian Development (NORAD) Fellowship at AIT. Later on, I worked as Energy Advisor for United Nations Development Program/Rural Energy Development Project in Nepal (1998-1999). I also served several years as Director in Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training for the policy formulation and management for the extension of technical education and vocational training throughout Nepal. I also worked as Country Director of Center for Humanitarian Outreach and Intercultural Exchange (CHOICE Humanitarian) USA for Nepal (2002-2004). I also served as a lecturer at various colleges of Tribhuwan University in Nepal (1997-2004). I have two books published, one book in press, about two dozens refereed journal papers and about a dozen conference publications. My research interests are in green technology development, environmentally friendly petroleum operations, energy and environment management, sustainable energy development, global warming, climate change and community development.
